Each and every story we’ve crafted is the result of thousands of hours of collaboration, research, laughter, crying, and bourbon. Yes, geese can drink too. But they do NOT like rye.

Most of our catalogue is either horror or comedy. Like Jordan Peele from Key & Peele, and also like Zach Cregger from The Whitest Kids You Know, we come from a mixed bag of comedy and horror. Both these idols of the craft started in comedy and transitioned into horror quite easily. Peele said it best when explained that “horror and comedy are so similar. The only difference is music and timing”. Both genre’s illicit similar, involuntary responses. A scream and a laugh are the same thing, except one is the result of negative stimuli, and the other positive. Both are involuntary - you don’t really control what happens. It’s all about being immersed in the story, and letting yourself become absorbed in the world you’re watching.

Our goal is to craft narratives that result in visceral reactions. We want our audience to be utterly entertained. When you sit down in that theatre seat, our only desire is for you to forget about the outside world for two hours.

When crafting horror, our aim is to dole out terror. Not cheap jump-scares. We’re going for dread - something that follows you home after the lights come up. We want you to be afraid of being in your own house.

When crafting comedy, we want to hand deliver a stitch in your side. Irreverence. Dark humor. The shit you heard in the middle school cafeteria. The random comment you heard at the gas station that dropped you to your knees doubling over in laughter.

That’s what we’re after.

Proper Gander Productions believes that the world has been fed white bread - “content”- for far too long. We’re not claiming to have the cure, but we can confirm that we’re in the kitchen every day cookin’ up something that’s far from bland. Our sole objective is to offer the world something other than mediocre, and here’s the recipe:
